Mariah Carey is not an alto, b/c she still has her whistle register, no matter how god awful it has become now. I have read that Beyonce is not coloratura but just a dramatic mezzo-soprano. Anyhow I love Beyonce and will always support her, and I am getting sick of Mariah, still love her, I just wish something different would come from her, and something age appropriate
ranqe is not everythinq about a vocalist but too many ppl limit themselves to belive only what youtube says
accordinq to youtube, mariah can only qo up to G#7 but accordinq to her vocal records she can qo up to B7

just like mariah is a coloratura alto
with coloratura abilities, the sky is the limit requardless of your vocal type
i love the slower version it makes the song more dramatic and it realy shows the meaning
This is one of my favorites off “I Am”. Im quite surprises she isnt doing this song on tour. I like this abrieviated slower version as well as the faster album version.

she can hit the whistle note, she doesn’t do it very often, I am not sure about her being able to hit a A7, thats pretty high for a mezzo- soprano, but she can prolly go a lil higher than a E6.
