Spinning Vinyl, Gerry Rafferty From the album City to City, Right Down the Line. Turntable, Pioneer PL-530 You know I need your love You’ve got that hold over me Long as I’ve got your love You know that I’ll never leave When I wanted you to share my life I had no doubt in my mind And it’s been you woman Right down the line I know how much I lean on you Only you can see The changes that I’ve been through Have left a mark on me You’ve been as constant as a Northern Star The brightest light …

I know the feeling. I hated school (bullies) and my parents were down my back about my boyfriend until they broke us up. I think this song was the only good thing about that year.
The days when I used to be a lonely nerd…beautiful times…
what a crap song !!!
when i seen him in concert in 78 this song got a 5 minute standing ovation. The concert was just brilliant and he seemed taken aback just how much the audience loved him and his music
never gets old ..
Wow still a Great song and love that Bass
Ohhhh be still, my beating heart……….!
The US / Canada version is a semitone higher than elsewhere.

I have always loved this song. I think it’s about eating Fruity Peebles Cereal naked in the rain, but I could be wrong…shrugs.

BUNK….
Sears (craftsman) and Kmart have only been merged for a few years, this song is from the 70’s
sheesh
Gerry wrote this song in the lawn & garden section of a Kmart in McKees Rocks, PA. He was inspired by the smell of freshly manufactured plastic and rubber. “Right Down the Line” referring to aisle 17 where he sat atop a Craftsman mower.
the vinyl is awsome, pioneer system too.70s easy listening i can dig it
Oh c’mon i wanna see Rafferty in the studio recording this great song and not a stereo vinyl player….
This is our song, Dusty! I am going to love you forever…
If you’re old enough to remember, that’s one thing. And it’s sweet. This is new to you, then try some things in reverse–Gerry Rafferty to Bowie to Who to…
