I never did have the chance to see or grow up with this band but I can say were I was when this song came out.. I am blessed that I had the chance to hear this great band as the other before me.
such a great song and, great voice john had. paul, ringo and george really did a great job with the added vocals and instruments. rip john and george. you are missed very much.

What a great song. And you can really see how close and loved the remaining Beatles were during the recording sessions. But the two songs, Free as a Bird and Real Love always make me think what The Beatles would have been like if they were still together to this day.

I love this song, and Free As A Bird. They both happened to have lyrics that seem to fit, both have Across the Universe like vocals from John, which makes them quite dreamy, and they have both got Beatlesque and Lennonesque Piano. The overdubbed harmony vocals match perfectly and Paul’s bass on Free As A Bird is on the centre left side, just like in the Beatle days. George’s guitar and Ringo’s drums are also played in a Bealtesque way, all the new singing and instrumentation is authentic.
